Dr. Billie Thompson, Ph.D.

Dr. Billie M. Thompson is an international leader in the field of listening training and alternative educational and therapeutic methods.

She personally directed Tomatis Listening programs for over 6000 people of all ages through five Sound Listening & Learning Centers (1986 - 2003) and outreaches in 30 US cities.

She was the First exclusive US trainer for the Tomatis Method (1991- 2002) the Founding President of the International Association of Registered Certified Tomatis Consultants (2001 - 2003), and the first Editor of Ricochet International Journal of Tomatis Method Research (2002-2004).

She co-edited / published About the Tomatis Method (1988) with Dr. Tim Gilmor and Paul Madaule and was the editor /publisher of English translations of two Tomatis books (The Conscious Ear (1991) and The Ear and Language (1996)).

She is co-founder with Don Campbell of Power of Sound Workshops (1992 - 1996), a certified Rubenfeld Synergist, and an Advanced SOI Trainer.

Her current work is using EnListen software and licensed media to provide listening training programs directly to clients and professional training to a variety of therapeutic and educational specialists.
