Visual Skills Training
Gemstone offers internet-based programs to assess and improve visual skills. ConvergEyes(c) and Dynamic Vision Training (c) exercise the eyes' focusing muscles, force the eyes to team together to seeparticular images, and exercise the sensorimotor pathways that are necessary for good reading eye movements, or "tracking." Purchases are tax-deductible, with proceeds supporting research and service projects.
Suitable for: The training is best suited for anyone with undiagnosed reading problems, at any age. It is suitable for all ages, even older adults. It is especially useful for (1) children reading 2 or more grades below expected levels, (2) students who were reading at grade level until grade 4 or 5, (3) adults with computer eye fatigue, and (4) anyone diagnosed with convergence insufficiency, accommodative infacility, or tracking problems.
